Windows Setup
Admin PC (Teacher)

Download & extract
Download NexusGuard_Admin_Windows_v4.zip and extract it anywhere — Desktop or C:\NexusGuard works fine.

Install Python (if not installed)
Download from python.org/downloads. Tick "Add Python to PATH" during install.

Double-click START_ADMIN.bat
First run installs packages (~30 sec). Browser opens at http://localhost:8000 automatically.

Enter your licence key
Paste the key from your purchase email — format NG-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. Dashboard unlocks immediately.

Note your IP and Pair Code
Your LAN IP is shown in the top bar (e.g. 10.100.19.3). Pair Code shown top-right. You'll need both for student PCs.
Student PCs

Edit config.txt
Open config.txt in Notepad, fill in the admin IP and pair code. Copy the whole folder to a USB drive.

Right-click → Run as administrator
On each student PC: right-click INSTALL_AGENT.bat → Run as administrator. Takes about 60 seconds.

PC appears in the dashboard
Within 30 seconds the PC shows up in Overview. Auto-connects on every boot from here on — nothing more to do.
Linux Setup

Download & extract
Download NexusGuard_Admin_Linux_v4.zip and extract it anywhere.

Install Python (if needed)
Ubuntu/Debian: sudo apt install python3 python3-pip
Fedora: sudo dnf install python3

Run the launcher
Open a terminal in the folder:
bash start_admin.sh
Browser opens automatically.

Enter your licence key
Enter NG-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX from your purchase email. Dashboard unlocks immediately.
Student PCs

Edit config.txt
Set admin_ip and pairing_code in config.txt before distributing.

Run installer with sudo
sudo bash install_agent.sh
Creates a systemd service — auto-starts at boot.

Check status anytime
systemctl status nexusguard-agent
